Closing Credits from Bikini Beach

Because I feel like it! (Nothing like a little nostalgia on a Friday night. I loved these movies when I was a kid, and I still think they're pretty entertaining.)

You can never go wrong with a Candy Johnson clip.

And I, for one, am glad that you felt like it!

James,
I like quite a few of the Beach Party movies myself. My favorite it actually Pajama Party. Two reasons: quirky Tommy Kirk is much more interesting than bland Frankie Avalon, and Buster Keaton has a strong supporting role playing an Indian. Excuse me, "Native American." Beach Blanket Bingo would be my second favorite. It also has a great closing credits sequence, showing Buster Keaton (in his regular porkpie hat and slap-shoes costume, this time) dancing with a bevy of beauties. I coldn't find it on YouTube, unfortunately, although I might not have searched long enough. A lot of other great character actors in those movies as well: Paul Lynde, Don Rickles, Elsa Lanchester, Peter Lorre, etc. And who can forget Eric Von Zipper? Last but not least, plenty of lively ladies shaking their va-va-vooms!

Didn't life seem a lot more light-hearted then. I mean I know there the Cuban missile crisis and the cold war but geez, people seemed less preoccupied with death and taxes.

The sixties were indeed the happiest time of our lives. All sexual diseases could be cured, jobs were plentiful, wages were adequate. What could go wrong, right? Of course we were only fooling ourselves.....
